Special features regarding university sports

The university does not have its own sports programme. The university sports programme takes place jointly with the University of Education Weingarten (PH) and is organised by the PH. Participation is free of charge. The General University Sports offered jointly for the University of Applied Sciences Ravensburg-Weingarten (RWU) and the PH Weingarten takes place on the PH sports grounds with an indoor pool, gymnastics hall, tennis courts and stadium behind the RWU main building, in the “Töbele”. Programmes range from A for aerobics to football, karate, and swimming to V for volleyball. The course instructors are students themselves. About 40% of the students of the two universities take advantage of the free programme.
